Two people plead guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud against the Federal Communications Commission's Video Relay Service Program. Ellen Thompson, CEO of Deaf Studio 29 and Wanda Hutchinson, Call Center Manager for Innovation Communication Service for the Deaf Corp. Each faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. Denny Voreck was arrested in Nevada for unlawful use of computers; Easy Street, a program in Minneapolis teaches immigrant Deaf people sign language and American culture, and a 7-year-old Deaf bowler will be featured in a national bowling magazine;
