Beach Beast Volleyball tournament at Huntington Beach, California was a great success; "Scale Crusher" weight loss competition has a big weekend as two competitors from each city will be eliminated; 7th European Deaf Football (soccer) championships underway); Ashley Fiolek gets two second place finishes in motorcycle races; Tyson Gillies of the Philadelphia Phillies farm system reaggravated his hamstring and had to go onto the 7-day disabled list; and an Illinois Deaf School long jumper recognized as athlete of the year.
